Michael Jordan’s Sneakers Sell For Record Breaking Price $615000 in Auction


According to Christie’s auction house former NBA superstar Michael Jordan’s Nike Air Jordan 1 High sneakers sell for record breaking price $615000 in auction. Last Tuesday Christie’s auction house revels this report in publicly.


Former Chicago Bulls legendary star Michael Jordan first and last time use this sneakers (Nike Air Jordan 1 High sneakers) in a Basketball exhibition match held at Italy in 1985. This exhibition match is the one of the remarkable match for MJ. He dunked the ball so hard it broken the hard glass surface of the Basketball ground.

“This is the original shoe with an actual piece of the backboard, a piece of glass, in the sole of the shoe,” said Caitlin Donovan, head of handbag and sneaker sales at Christie’s — which organized the auction with Stadium Goods.

MJ racked up 30 points in this match by wearing red and black color Nike sneakers size 13.5.

Nike is the official sponsor of Michael Jordan’s 14 years carrier. MJ is conceder as all time greatest NBA players. He is most successful NBA player and global icon in the 1980s to 1990s periods. Now MJ is the principle owner of Charlotte Hornets.

This new Sneakers auction price beat the last auction Jordan 1’s sold for $560,000 In May Air. Another  Air Jordan 7  sold $112,500 which was were in the 1992 Olympics, Air Jordan 10 sold in $8,750 in 1994 and another pair of classic Jordan 14s sold in $21,250  in 1998.
